On the morning of September 9, ship 467 towed fishing boat LĐ 95888TS with 21 fishermen to Phu Quy port, Phu Quy Special Zone, Lam Dong province.
The health of the 21 fishermen is basically stable. Functional forces organized the reception, health check and support of fishermen after the incident.
Previously, fishing vessel LD 95888TS had engine failure and lost maneuverability while operating about 126 nautical miles east-northeast of Phu Quy Special Zone.
At the time of the ship's accident, the sea area had southwest winds of level 5-6, waves from 3-4m high. Fishing boats lost their ability to maneuver in the sea area with large waves, making access and support difficult.
Receiving the rescue order, ship 467 urgently maneuvered to the location of the distressed fishing vessel. At 11:30 pm on September 7, the rescue force approached vessel LD 95888TS and deployed to tow it.
After many hours of overcoming rough seas, ship 467 brought the vessel and 21 fishermen back to Phu Quy safely.
