On the morning of January 13, dozens of households in Hiep Thanh commune (Lam Dong) were present at Agribank Duc Trong Branch to receive compensation money. These are households whose land was recovered to serve the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Project.
The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project passes through Hiep Thanh commune, affecting 310 land plots of 310 cases. To date, functional agencies have approved compensation plans for 274 cases, with a total cost of more than 465 billion VND.
For the remaining 36 cases, functional units will continue to coordinate with local authorities to review and complete dossiers for approval according to regulations.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Land Development Center, the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Project passes through 10 communes and wards. The total number of cases of land acquisition is 2,473 cases belonging to 2,464 households. Of which, there are 2,347 dossiers that meet the compensation conditions, with a total site clearance cost of more than 2,728 billion VND.
The payment of compensation and site clearance is first implemented in Hiep Thanh commune, then will be implemented simultaneously in the remaining communes and wards.
From January 13 to 15, the Provincial Land Development Center coordinated with the bank to pay compensation for 274 cases in Hiep Thanh commune that have been approved for site clearance plans. This is the first locality selected to pay compensation for the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Project.
After completing the payment in Hiep Thanh commune, the Provincial Land Development Center will continue to coordinate with local authorities to deploy the payment of compensation and site clearance to people in the remaining communes and wards throughout the route.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project phase 1 has a length of 73.6km, a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17m, and a maximum designed speed of 80km/hour.
The project is an important component to close the entire Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway; when completed, it will shorten travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, opening up new development space, creating motivation to promote trade, tourism and attract investment.
