In the afternoon of August 30, information from the Traffic Police Department, at about 11:50 am on August 29, people reported to VOV Traffic channel about a transport vehicle dropping cement bags at Km98+500 of the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, in the direction from Hanoi to Hai Phong, affecting traffic and causing danger to other vehicles.
Implementing the direction of the Director of the Traffic Police Department, in the afternoon of the same day, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 2, Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department, Traffic Police Department coordinated with relevant units to urgently verify violating vehicles and contact vehicle owners. By 10 pm on the same day, the driver and vehicle were present at the headquarters to work.
Through verification, Mr. N.V.N (born in 1984, residing in Ninh Binh province) was the driver of trailer truck 90H-031. xx, pulling semi-trailer 90RM-001. xx. During traffic, the vehicle dropped 3 bags of cement onto the highway surface. At the meeting, the driver admitted the violation.
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 2 has made a record against Mr. N.V.N for the act of spilling goods and construction materials onto the road. According to regulations, this act is fined from 2,000,000 VND to 4,000,000 VND. On the expressway, materials falling onto the road surface can cause vehicles running at high speed to brake suddenly or change direction suddenly, easily leading to accidents and chain collisions.
The Traffic Police force recommends that vehicle owners and drivers carefully check the arrangement, binding, and covering of goods before departure and throughout the journey; absolutely do not let goods fall off, causing danger to traffic participants.
