On April 12, leaders of Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee (Lam Dong) said they are directing relevant agencies to coordinate with the Bao Loc Pass road management unit to handle the arbitrary installation of connecting panels from the pass road to the leveling and encroachment area.

Previously, on April 11, while functional agencies were stretching ropes to blockade the scene of leveling, excavating, and encroaching on natural streams on Bao Loc Pass that Lao Dong Newspaper had reported, the violator still blatantly built pavements in this area.
Records at the scene show that to install connecting panels from Bao Loc pass road (National Highway 20) to the leveling and excavation area without permission, violators encroached and destroyed the drainage ditch bank.

Here, the ditch bank is dug up, losing its foothold, posing a risk of landslides when the rainy season comes. The violator placed a concrete slab across the drainage ditch to connect to the leveling area.
In this area, there are also many concrete manholes being gathered, lying scattered at the scene. All the blockade wires set up by the functional agency of Ward 3 Bao Loc before were also removed.

Mr. Than Nguyen Vinh Thang, Chief of Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ward 3 Bao Loc, said that immediately after receiving the information, the ward directed functional forces to inspect and make a record of the violation scene.
The inspection results determined that the cement concrete slabs just installed had an area of about 7.2m2, used to connect from the pass road to the leveling, excavation, road opening, and natural stream encroachment area. At the time of inspection, there were no construction workers at the site.

After inspection, functional agencies stretched many layers of ropes to warn and blockade the area to serve handling according to regulations.

Currently, the People's Committee of Bao Loc Ward 3 is coordinating with Construction Company 886 - Thanh Nam (Bao Loc Pass management unit) to dismantle the slabs; and at the same time verify and clarify the violators for handling according to regulations.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on April 1, Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee directed an inspection of the case of leveling, excavating, opening roads and encroaching on streams at 2 locations in Residential Group 5, Dai Lao.
The total area of forest land affected at two locations is more than 2,890m2, belonging to the forest area managed and protected by the Area 3 - Bao Lam Defense Command (Lam Dong Provincial Military Command).
According to records, the opening of roads alone has had a major impact on the multi-year-old pine forest. Dozens of pine trees and some natural forest trees have been affected.
Along the newly opened road hundreds of meters long, many pine trees are located close to the edge of the negative taluy, some are affected by the root system, posing a risk of collapse.
Especially, during the rainy season, these trees are at risk of landslides, falling, causing unsafety.
