From July 22 to 24, 2025, the Social Policy Bank Transaction Office has organized a campaign to support the recovery of flood consequences at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Muong Xen commune and households that suffered heavy damage. Every day, 13 officers directly participate in cleaning up mud, repairing houses, and supporting people's lives. The total number of households supported in this period is expected to be about 10 households.
Right at the time of the flood, the unit deployed emergency support to 5 households in the commune that were heavily affected with practical gifts (1 box of instant noodles and 20 dozens of eggs). These are essential necessities to help people overcome the current difficult times. Immediately after the flood, the Trade Union of the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office allocated 5 million VND from the mobilization fund to directly support families in difficult circumstances, thereby clearly demonstrating the spirit of "Mutual love", "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of the staff and workers in the unit.
3 officers working at the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office also had their houses flooded, but were supported and had stable accommodation to continue to work with the unit to perform well the task for the community.
Director of the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office Ngo Minh Tu shared: In the context of severe terrain and frequent natural disasters such as in the Ky Son highlands, people who have already struggled are more vulnerable. We affirm that accompanying the people is not only a responsibility but also our affection and mission.
The timely and practical activities of the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office in recent times have created a beautiful impression in the hearts of the local government and people. The unit is not only a " steward" bringing capital to poor households, near-poor households, and other policy beneficiaries, but also a solid spiritual support for people when facing difficulties and disasters.
Sharing about the heavy damage after the flood, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly in Cau Tam village, Muong Xen commune said: "We really think we are out of stock, every house is heavily affected by the flood, so we don't know who to ask for help with. Luckily, the staff of the People's Credit Fund of Ky Son were present in time to help our family overcome the immediate difficulties. Although we know that there are many hardships and difficulties, we still feel warm-hearted.
In recent years, the Ky Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office has promoted its role as an effective preferential capital channel for ethnic minority areas and remote areas, actively contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, building new rural areas and ensuring social security in the area.
