This is one of the orientations emphasized by the leaders of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee at the working program with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on key tasks in the coming time.
Accordingly, the tourism industry is assigned to review and adjust the Provincial Tourism Development Project to 2030, and at the same time focus on completing items under the Community Tourism Development Project in Huu Lien and Quynh Son this year.
These are considered areas with great potential to form experiential products associated with nature, indigenous culture and community life.
A noteworthy point is that the province will study expanding the scope of sightseeing as well as the length of stay for Chinese tourists using entry pass papers to Lang Son.
In parallel with that, new tours and routes based on border gate advantages, community tourism, Mau Son tourist area and experiential journeys along the Ky Cung River will also be researched and built to diversify choices for tourists.
To create more attraction for the destination, Lang Son plans to build a chain of cultural and tourism activities that take place year-round instead of focusing on seasonality.
Many new events are being prepared such as the Dong Lam Summer Tourism Festival, Lang Son Provincial Ethnic Culture Festival, the Border Light Autumn Festival or weekend activities in the cultural space on Hung Vuong street. These programs are expected to contribute to creating a unique highlight for Lang Son tourism.
Along with product development, a series of large-scale cultural and tourism infrastructure projects are also required to accelerate progress.
Including the Provincial Sports Complex, Lang Son Provincial Museum, Provincial Culture and Exhibition Center, the Chi Lang historical relic conservation project and many other important heritage conservation works.
Provincial leaders also requested to promote digital transformation in the cultural field, strive to digitize all cultural heritages ranked at national and special national levels, and gradually form a common digital heritage database of the province.
This is considered an important platform to promote local cultural values and enhance the tourist experience in the context of strong digital transformation.
With the orientation of taking culture as the foundation, tourism as the driving force for growth and heritage as a competitive advantage, Lang Son is gradually building the image of a destination not only attractive for its gateway to trade but also for its unique experiences imbued with the identity of the border region.
