Most key projects in Quang Ngai province are invested by the Quang Ngai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, including: Tra Khuc River downstream dam; anti-landslide embankment combined with creating land fund on the North bank of Tra Khuc River (section through Tinh An commune and Tinh Long commune, Quang Ngai city); anti-landslide embankment combined with creating land fund on the North bank of Tra Khuc River (section through Tinh Long and Tinh Khe communes, Quang Ngai city); the entire route of the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh Coastal Road project; Tra Khuc 3; bridge; road connecting from Thach Bich bridge to Tinh Phong; and Hoang Sa - Doc Soi road.
In recent times, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have regularly focused on leadership and direction; localities, relevant departments and branches have also taken drastic and responsible action in implementing key and important projects and works. However, up to now, most projects have been implemented more slowly than planned.
A series of key projects are behind schedule, leading to difficulties in disbursing public investment capital, directly affecting the province's economic growth rate in 2025.
Explaining the reason why a series of key projects in the province are slow to schedule, at the press conference in the first quarter of 2025 took place on the afternoon of April 26, Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan - Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee - frankly said: During the implementation of key projects, the province is very determined, because this is the task of the Prime Minister directly assigned to the head of the province.
However, the implementation process has encountered many difficulties in the mechanism according to the new Land Law, especially in determining specific land prices.
In addition, the issuance of a series of new compensation mechanisms and policies must go through many processes. Land use planning of localities is also slow... By March 31, 2025, these problems will be basically resolved, and the authorities will step up site clearance work.
Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan also said that the province has recently held a review meeting for each agency and individual related to each project. The Provincial Party Committee has also established a steering committee to inspect the progress and disbursement of projects.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee regularly inspects the scene to urge progress. However, it is expected that it will not be until July 2025 that there will be a clean site to speed up the progress of key projects.
"The province is very determined, but must comply with the provisions of the law" - Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan said.
