On December 26, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Lao Cai province informed that in 2025, the whole province had mobilized over 22,000 people to register to donate blood and received more than 19,500 units of blood.

During the year, many voluntary blood donation campaigns and events were organized simultaneously, creating a clear mark for the movement, typically: Blood donation campaign for Tet and Red Spring Festival attracted 3,500 registrants, receiving 2,516 units of blood; activities in response to the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (4.7) attracted 4,200 people to register, receiving 2,425 units of blood; on the occasion of International Blood Donor Day (6.4) attracted 3,500 participants, receiving nearly 2,270 units of blood; the "Scarlet Drops" campaign and the "Red Journey" program mobilized more than 4,200 people to register to donate blood, receiving over 2,590 units of blood...
Along with the work of mobilizing voluntary blood donation on peak times, Lao Cai also focuses on building a sustainable blood donation force. Currently, the whole province maintains 20 reserve blood donation clubs with 891 members, 24 clubs mobilizing voluntary blood donation with nearly 1,100 members. Thereby, contributing to creating a stable blood source, ready for emergency care and treatment.

In addition, emulation and reward work has also been carried out promptly, creating motivation to spread the movement. During the year, the Lao Cai Red Cross Society awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 18 individuals with outstanding achievements in propaganda and blood donation; proposed that the Central Committee of the Lao Cai Red Cross Society award the "For the cause of humanity" medal to outstanding individuals and send 2 delegates to attend the ceremony to honor 100 outstanding blood donors nationwide in 2025.
