Lao Cai will temporarily suspend receiving and handling documents for issuance, re-issuance, organization of testing, and issuance of road mechanical driving licenses (GPLX).

On February 28, information from the Department of Transport of Lao Cai province said that from 0:00 on February 28, 2025, the unit will temporarily stop receiving documents for issuing, exchanging, and reissuing road motor vehicle licenses of all kinds (including direct reception at the Lao Cai Provincial Public Administration Service Center, reception points of the Provincial Post Office and online on the National Public Service Portal).

From 0:00 on March 1, 2025, the Lao Cai Department of Transport temporarily suspends the issuance and re-issuance of road motor vehicle licenses of all kinds.

In addition, the Lao Cai Department of Transport temporarily suspends the organization of testing and granting road motor vehicle licenses of all classes (A1 class cars, cars of all classes) organized by the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Transport.

Previously, on February 18-19, the Lao Cai Department of Transport also announced the temporary suspension of receiving and handling documents for issuance, renewal, organization of testing, and issuance of road motor vehicle driving licenses.

At 1:30 p.m. on February 19, the unit continued to receive documents for issuing, exchanging and reissuing road mechanical driving licenses of all types under the direction of the Vietnam Road Administration.
