Lao Cai stops receiving and processing applications for driver's license renewal

    Lao Cai will temporarily stop receiving and processing applications for issuance, re-issuance, organization of examinations, and issuance of road motor vehicle driving licenses.

    On February 13, information from the Department of Transport of Lao Cai province, from 0:00 on February 18, 2025, the unit will temporarily stop receiving applications for issuance, renewal and re-issuance of all types of road motor vehicle driving licenses (including direct reception at the Public Administration Service Center of Lao Cai province, reception points of the Provincial Post Office and online on the National Public Service Portal).

    From 0:00 on February 19, 2025, Lao Cai Department of Transport will temporarily stop issuing, exchanging and reissuing all types of road motor vehicle driving licenses.

    In addition, Lao Cai Department of Transport has temporarily suspended the organization of testing and issuance of road motor vehicle driving licenses of all classes (class A1 motorbikes, classes of cars) organized by Lao Cai Department of Transport.

    In case the Ministry of Transport and the Vietnam Road Administration have new directives on this content, the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Transport will update and notify promptly.
