On the evening of January 5, the Ben Thanh Traffic Police Team under PC08 Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police invited a young woman driving an SH motorbike with both hands off on Ba Son bridge in a clip spread on social networks to work and make a record of handling according to regulations.

Through verification, the driver was identified as N.L.M.A (16 years old, residing in Dong Nai province).
The incident happened at 1:55 am on July 20, 2025, when M.A was driving an SH motorbike on Ba Son bridge, heading from Saigon ward to An Khanh ward. At this time, M.A was carrying 2 other female friends from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City to play.
During the movement, M.A let go of both hands, shouting along with his companion. Notably, the person sitting in the middle also stood on the car, posing a risk of traffic unsafety and accidents.
Because M.A was not old enough to drive a motorbike, Ben Thanh Traffic Police Team made a warning record for the act of "letting go of both hands while driving". At the same time, functional forces proceeded to confiscate the vehicle used to commit the violation.
Traffic police also made a record against the car owner, who is the grandfather of young girl M.A, for the act of "giving the car to a person who does not have sufficient conditions to drive", with a fine of 8 to 10 million VND according to regulations.
Previously, on January 4, a clip recording the scene of three girls on a motorbike, in which the girl driving let go of both hands while running on Ba Son bridge, spread strongly on social networks, causing public outrage. Immediately after that, Ben Thanh Traffic Police Team intervened to verify and handle to ensure traffic order and safety in the area.
