On January 5, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Nghe An Provincial Police, during the 4 days off for the 2026 New Year holiday (from January 1 to January 4), the traffic police force strengthened patrols and controls, thereby detecting and making records of 1,229 cases of traffic safety violations. The total amount of administrative violation fines transferred to the State budget reached nearly 900 million VND.
During the handling process, functional forces temporarily seized 444 vehicles, revoked the right to use driver's licenses in 13 cases and deducted points from driver's licenses for 192 cases according to regulations.
Notably, alcohol concentration violations accounted for a large proportion with 426 cases; 161 cases of speeding; 52 cases of oversized and overloaded violations; 127 cases of driving in the wrong lane and lane; 5 cases of traffic light signal violations, along with many other violations.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, in the coming time, the force will continue to maintain mobile patrol and control task forces; focus on strictly handling alcohol concentration and speed violations, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order, limiting accidents and raising the awareness of law compliance of traffic participants.
