On August 19, at Phuc Triu Martyrs' Cemetery, Dai Phuc commune, the Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains of Thai Nguyen province organized an incense offering ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs and deployed biological sample collection for DNA testing and identification.
In a solemn atmosphere, delegates offered flowers, incense, and spent a minute of silence, expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Immediately after the incense offering ceremony, the working group proceeded to excavate and take biological samples for 65 graves that had not been identified at the cemetery.
Sampling is carried out according to the correct technical procedures, ensuring strictness, accuracy and safety.
After completion at Phuc Triu Martyrs' Cemetery, the working group will continue to take biological samples for 17 graves that have not been identified at Hung Son Martyrs' Cemetery.
As of the end of August 19, Thai Nguyen province has excavated 695/941 graves at 19/49 cemeteries in the area.
