Launching ceremony for storm no. 3 recovery project

On the afternoon of September 20, Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to launch a project of mass media agencies to support people in the North to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

At the Youth Cultural House (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with socio-political organizations and the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City organized a ceremony to launch the mass media agencies to support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City expressed his thanks to the Ho Chi Minh City media agencies for joining hands to support people in the area affected by storm No. 3.

The launching ceremony of the mass media agencies' projects is of a community development nature so that the assistance is sustainable. That is, assistance to repair essential projects, helping affected people to soon stabilize their lives.

The city's mass media agencies participating in this support include: Ho Chi Minh City Television, Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Women's Newspaper, Laborer Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper. These include projects such as supporting the construction of new and repairing civil works in Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Yen Bai provinces; awarding scholarships to students; building some houses, schools, etc.
