As of 10:00 p.m. on June 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Police force and other professional units were still blocking part of Kinh Duong Vuong Street (An Lac Ward, Binh Tan District) to examine the scene and investigate the accident that killed 2 people.
Accordingly, the two women died on the spot, identified as mother and child: Mrs. B.T.C (born in 1953) and daughter N.T.T (born in 1975), residing in Tan Binh District. At the time of the accident, the two were on their way back from visiting relatives.


As previously reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 6:30 p.m. on June 15, a 5-seat Jeep was running on Kinh Duong Vuong Street, from Mien Tay Bus Station to An Lac roundabout. When approaching the intersection with Sinco Street, the vehicle suddenly dropped a steel median strip, crashed into the motorbike lane and hit many vehicles in circulation.
The car only stopped when it dragged a motorbike under it and crashed onto the sidewalk. At the scene, at least 3 motorbikes were damaged, one of which was stuck under the car. The front of the car was broken, the axle of the cake was broken.


The accident caused the mother and child to die on the spot. Another seriously injured man was taken to Trieu An Hospital for emergency treatment.
Witness at the scene said the car was moving at a very fast speed.
After the accident, the two people, believed to be in the car, left the scene.
Ho Chi Minh City Police are urgently extracting security cameras and searching for the driver involved to clarify the cause of the incident.
