The Hoang Huu Nam road construction project, the section from the new Mien Dong Bus Station to the Hanoi Highway intersection, is an important traffic axis connecting with the bustling areas of Thu Duc City such as: Metro No. 1, Hanoi Highway, Oncology Hospital...

According to the design, the road will be expanded from 7m to 30m with a total investment of more than 402 billion VND. The project started in June 2015, but was interrupted for many years due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and problems in site clearance.
To date, the project has reached nearly 75% of the volume, completing the foundation and road surface of the D400 road section, Road No. 13, directly serving the connection to the Oncology Hospital, the new Mien Dong Bus Station and the depot of Metro Line 1 Long Binh.
However, according to the Thu Duc City Construction Investment Project Management Board, there are still 7 households in Long Binh ward and 39 real estate records within the city Martyrs' Cemetery.

According to Lao Dong reporters, many households at the scene have proactively demolished their houses and handed over the site to the construction unit. However, many sections of the road are still littered with bricks, stones, and construction materials. Some households have had to temporarily repair the dismantled frontage to stabilize their lives, although the completion of the project is still far away.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loi (84 years old, living on Hoang Huu Nam Street) reflected that the prolonged construction work caused the area to be frequently dusty, significantly affecting people's business. "Sometimes I see motorbikes under construction, sometimes I get quiet all week. The road is dusty, customers coming to buy and sell are also hesitant. I hope the construction unit will soon complete the sidewalk so that people can live and do business stably again," said Ms. Loi.

In this situation, the Thu Duc City People's Committee has requested the Compensation and Site Clearance Board to urgently coordinate with relevant units to completely resolve the pending records. The city is committed to handing over the entire site in the coming time so that the investor can carry out the construction of the remaining part. It is expected that the entire project will be completed and put into operation no later than November 30, 2025.

In addition, due to the rainy season, the Thu Duc City government also requested contractors to strengthen temporary maintenance and repair work, and arrange forces to be on duty at vulnerable locations to ensure safety for people traveling.
