Paying pensions and social insurance benefits to people in 4 provinces
According to Vietnam Social Security, the Government has just issued Resolution No. 380/NQ-CP dated November 25, 2025 on solutions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and restore production in localities in the Central region.
In the field of social security, the Government assigned the Ministry of Finance to direct the Vietnam Social Insurance (VSS) to pay a combined payment of 3 months of pensions and social insurance benefits (December 2025, January and February 2026) in the payment period of December 2025 for 4 provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong to create conditions for policy beneficiaries in areas affected by storms, floods, and floods to overcome the consequences and celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026.
Previously, in the spirit of the Government's direction, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang signed and issued Official Letter No. 18149/BTC-NSNN, requesting units under the Ministry of Finance to urgently guide and handle the contents of overcoming damage caused by natural disasters. In particular, directing Vietnam Social Security to focus on implementing well the work of resolving and paying regimes; administrative procedures on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance are complete and timely, creating maximum convenience for policy participants and beneficiaries, especially people in the Central provinces affected by recent floods.
Vietnam Social Insurance proactively proposes many support solutions
Following the Minister's direction, on November 23, 2025, Vietnam Social Insurance issued Official Letter No. 3090/BHXH-TCKT reporting to the Ministry of Finance on proposing a number of solutions to facilitate beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies in some areas heavily affected by recent floods and rains such as:
Pay 3 months of pension and social insurance benefits in the payment period of December 2025.
Proactively issue health insurance cards, extend cards on the data system, ensure participants receive uninterrupted medical examination and treatment.
Coordinate with health insurance medical facilities to provide medicine for at least 2 months and at most 90 days for patients with chronic diseases who have lost medicine due to floods and storms, then guide them to re-examination in accordance with regulations.

In 2025, in the face of complicated storms and floods in many provinces, based on close monitoring of the actual situation, Vietnam Social Insurance has had many flexible and timely response solutions, ensuring social insurance and health insurance benefits for people in all situations with the most favorable and reformative spirit.
Implementing the direction of Vietnam Social Insurance, local Social Insurance has closely coordinated with relevant departments and branches, especially health facilities to ensure smooth benefits, creating convenience for beneficiaries of social insurance policies and people to receive health insurance examination and treatment.
