According to Vietnam Social Security, the pension payment schedule for October 2026 is paid in 2 main forms: Transfers will be received on the first working days of the month, and cash will be paid from October 2 to October 10 at fixed payment points and from October 11 to October 25 at commune post office transaction points.
Detailed pension payment schedule for October 2026 as follows:
Payment via personal account: Beneficiaries will receive money on the first working days of October 2026.
Cash payment at payment points: The payment time at fixed payment points is from October 2 to October 10, 2026.
During this time, payment points must ensure operation for at least 6 hours per day.
Cash payment at post office transaction points: The payment period continues from October 11 to the end of October 25, 2026 at commune post office transaction points.

Decree No. 320/2026/ND-CP dated August 13, 2026 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 69/2024/ND-CP regulating electronic identification and authentication, has added new content related to Social Security Benefit Accounts to the electronic identification system.
Accordingly, from September 28, 2026, when the regulation takes effect, people eligible for support, pensions and social security policies can proactively create social security accounts on VNeID and integrate appropriate accounts to receive money.
According to Vietnam Social Security, this is the first time to regulate the Social Security Benefit Account on the national identification application, and at the same time determine the form of payment of support, pensions and social security benefits through this account.
According to Article 1 of Decree 320/2026/ND-CP, Social security benefit accounts are identified as identification information on VNeID, allowing electronic identity entities to integrate a payment account, electronic wallet or mobile money account to receive money related to social security policies.
The amounts that can be received include: Support money, pensions, social security payments and other legal funds.
Note that this account is not a type of independent bank account, but VNeID plays the role of an identification platform, where people can integrate their payment accounts, e-wallets or mobile money accounts to serve the purpose of receiving money.
