In order to pay pensions and social insurance benefits (SI) in full and on time to beneficiaries, the Vietnam Social Insurance has a schedule for paying pensions and monthly social insurance regimes through specific personal accounts for 34 provinces and cities, detailed as follows:
Regarding the form of pension and social insurance allowance payment via personal account, Vietnam Social Insurance requires social insurance agencies of provinces and cities to strictly implement the preparation, control, and approval of electronic payment orders before the 1st of the payment month.
Coordinate with banking systems to review, compare and authenticate beneficiary information between the database of Vietnam Social Insurance and beneficiary information at banking systems to ensure the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits is accurate, complete, timely, and uninterrupted.
Regarding the payment of pensions and social insurance benefits in cash, local social insurance agencies coordinate with provincial and municipal post offices in their areas in charge of organizing payment according to the agreed pension and monthly social insurance benefits payment schedule between the regional social insurance agency and the provincial post office.
According to regulations, the forms of pension and social insurance allowance payment are fixed at specific times as follows:
Payment via personal account
Organize monthly pension and social insurance allowance payments through personal accounts at the regional social insurance agency. No later than the 5th of each month, the KHTC Department transfers money to the beneficiary's personal account.
Payment at fixed payment points
From January 2, 2026 to January 10, 2026, organize payment at least 6 hours/day at all payment points;
Only end the payment before the 10th for points that have paid all beneficiaries according to the list sent by the Social Insurance agency.
Payment at transaction points of payment service organizations
From the 11th of the month, pension payments will continue at payment points that are transaction points of payment service organizations until the 25th of the month.
Note that in case the payment date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the payment date will be the next working day.
4 provinces and cities pay pensions and social insurance benefits for January as soon as possible
In this new payment period, beneficiaries in the four provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa have been paid pensions and social insurance benefits early, from the payment period in December 2025.
Accordingly, from December 5, implementing the direction of the Government, the Post Offices of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces have arranged human resources and facilities to accurately, safely, quickly and promptly pay 3 months of pensions and social insurance benefits for December 2025, January and February 2026 to beneficiaries in the area.
This activity aims to implement the Government's direction in Resolution No. 380/NQ-CP dated November 25, 2025 on solutions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and restore production in localities in the Central region and Official Letter No. 3145/BHXH-TCKT dated November 27, 2025 of the Social Insurance of Vietnam on the combined payment of 3 months of pension and social insurance benefits.
