On December 4, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, a representative of Pu Hu Nature Reserve (Thanh Hoa province) said that from 2023 to now, the unit's functional forces have set camera traps at Pu Hu Nature Reserve, thereby recording many rare and precious wild animals.
Recorded species include: black bear, wild cat, common muntjac, silver cheeked weasel, yellow-throated weasel, jungle fowl, yellow-billed chicken, pig badger... with quite clear images.
Through the images, it can be seen that there are many wild animals traveling in herds or pairs such as wild cats, bears, deer, wild boars, etc. This is also the first time Pu Hu Nature Reserve has images of many rare animals (previously only recorded through traces).
According to the representative of Pu Hu Nature Reserve, according to statistics, the reserve currently has more than 900 animal species, of which more than 30 species are rare and listed in the Vietnam and World Red Book. The entire reserve has an area of more than 24,000 hectares, located in Quan Hoa and Muong Lat districts.
