On November 12, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang City announced that the Hoa Vang District Forest Protection Department coordinated with the An Loi Forest Protection Management Station (Ba Na - Nui Chua Special-Use Forest Management Board) to capture a python (Python Molurus) that appeared in a residential area in An Son village, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city. This python weighed 0.7 kg and was not yet fully grown.
After capturing and seeing that the python's health was stable, Hoa Vang Forest Protection Department released the python back into the natural environment in Hoa Ninh commune.
The Python Molurus is an endangered and rare forest animal belonging to group IIB according to the decree on the management of endangered and rare forest plants and animals and the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
