The Hanoi People's Committee has just submitted a document to the City People's Council to agree on the policy of reporting to the Prime Minister to consider the decision to assign the Hanoi People's Committee as the managing agency to implement the Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge investment project.
According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the investment in construction of Ngoc Hoi Bridge will help increase the connection between Hanoi Capital and Hung Yen Province, creating favorable conditions, connecting new urban areas such as: Ecopark New Urban Area, Dai An Urban Area, Dream City Urban Area... Thereby, creating conditions for socio-economic development in the southern area of the city as well as the southern and southeastern provinces of the Capital Region such as: Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Bac Ninh.
"Investing in the construction of Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge at the present time when the entire Ring Road 3.5 of Hanoi City is being implemented synchronously according to the plan is necessary" - the content of the submission stated.
The starting point of the investment project is in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi (connecting with the end point of the Ring Road 3.5 project from Phuc La, Van Phu to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, about 360m from Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway towards Huu Hong dike).
The end point is in Van Giang district, Hung Yen province (Km7+500) connecting with Ring Road 3.5 in Van Giang district, Hung Yen province, 700m from the Ta Hong dike towards the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway.
Regarding the expected scale, according to the Hanoi People's Committee, the total length of Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge is about 7.5km. Of which, the main bridge and approach bridge are 7.2km long and 33m wide. The road at the beginning of the bridge on the Hung Yen side is about 300m long and 60m wide.
At the same time, synchronously build technical infrastructure systems, sidewalks, lighting, traffic organization, trees, renovate and relocate floating underground technical infrastructure...; arrange a smart traffic surveillance camera system...; design items to serve the inspection and maintenance of bridges after being put into use, with a total investment of VND 11,844 billion.
The Ngoc Hoi bridge construction project is divided into 2 component project groups.
The site clearance project group has 3 projects implemented in Thanh Tri, Gia Lam districts (Hanoi) and Van Giang district (Hung Yen).
The Construction Investment Project Group has 2 projects (investment project to build parallel roads in Hanoi and Hung Yen province; investment project to build Ngoc Hoi bridge and access roads at both ends of the bridge).
The implementation period is in the period of 2025-2030.
