On May 10, according to the reporter's source, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province issued Decision No. 590/QD-UBND on the establishment of an Inspection Team for the management of dam and hydroelectric reservoir safety in the province.
The inspection team consists of 9 members, led by Mr. Ha Van Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade. The remaining members are representatives of the Department of Construction, Department of Agriculture and Environment, representatives of the Department of Economic and Urban Economic Departments of 4 districts of Bao Lac, Bao Lam, Hoa An and Quang Hoa.
This delegation is responsible for inspecting the safety assessment of dams and hydroelectric reservoirs of hydropower project owners in the province according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 48 of Decree No. 62/2025/ND-CP and then reporting the inspection results to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Department of Industry and Trade) to report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade according to regulations.
Assign the Department of Industry and Trade to develop a specific inspection schedule and notify owners of dams and reservoirs on the list of inspection subjects and members of the Inspection Team.
The Inspection Team was also allowed to use the seal of the Department of Industry and Trade for documents signed by the Head of the Team.
According to the attached list, the delegation will inspect 8 hydropower projects in operation, including:
3 hydropower plants: Bao Lam 3A, Bao Lam 1 and Bao Lac B - PC1 Group Joint Stock Company
Mong An Hydropower Plant - Northern Energy Investment Joint Stock Company.
Bach Dang Hydropower Plant - Thang Long Construction Group Joint Stock Company.
Tien Thanh Hydropower Plant - Song Da Joint Stock Company 7.09.
Hoa Thuan Hydropower Company - Hoa Thuan Hydropower Joint Stock Company.
Binh Long Hydropower Plant - Binh Long Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company.
The inspection is being carried out in the context of the approaching flood season, in order to strengthen natural disaster prevention work, ensure safety for the hydropower system and the lives of people in the downstream area.
