The Quang Chu Industrial Cluster project started construction in October 2024 with Osen Fuji Bac Kan Joint Stock Company as the investor. The project is worth nearly 500 billion VND, located on an area of over 74 hectares in Dong Luong village, Quang Chu commune, Cho Moi district.
The industrial cluster is located close to the Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi expressway, convenient for connecting with neighboring economic centers, attracting investors in the field of agricultural and forestry processing, construction materials, electronic components, etc.
According to PV on April 10, at the construction site, dozens of workers, machinery and vehicles are working continuously. The leveling and rolling items are being urgently deployed, creating a flat surface for functional subdivisions. The contractor also synchronously deployed underground water exploration and rock drilling in the area where a centralized wastewater treatment system is expected to be built.
According to Mr. Tran Quang Thach - Management Board of Quang Chu Industrial Park Project, the project has completed the construction of the first phase, ready to welcome secondary investors. It is expected that the entire project infrastructure will be completed in 2025, opening up opportunities to attract more businesses.
When put into operation, the industrial cluster can create jobs for about 10,000 workers. At the same time, it contributes from 500 - 700 billion VND per year to the budget of Bac Kan province.
In Bac Kan City, the shoe and shoe sole manufacturing and processing factory of Chung Jye Bac Kan - Vietnam Shoe Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Huyen Tung Industrial Park started construction in June 2024.
The project has a total investment of more than 600 billion VND, with a capacity of 10 million pairs of shoes/year. The factory is expected to create jobs for about 5,000 workers.
According to the reporter, after nearly 1 year of implementation, the project of producing and processing shoes and soles for export has been basically completed. At the construction site, machinery leveled, rolled the road, completed a series of technical infrastructure and other auxiliary items.
According to the investor's representative, by March 2025, the two most important items, the factory and warehouse, have been completed. Some equipment and machinery lines have been installed. Currently, contractors are focusing on completing some auxiliary items to put the plant into operation, expected in the second quarter of 2025.
The unit also plans to expand investment in Ngan Son and Na Ri districts with two new factories. Each factory has a capacity of about 1.5 million pairs of shoes/year, attracting 1,500 - 2,000 local workers.
In Cho Moi district, at the end of March 2025, the Thang Long Bac Kan industrial board factory started construction in Thanh Binh Industrial Park.
The project has a total investment of 360 billion VND, an area of 5.15 hectares with a designed capacity of 100,000m3 of products/year. The plant is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026.
According to Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province Dinh Quang Tuyen, the project not only contributes to increasing the value of the wood processing industry but also creates additional budget revenue, promoting local industrial development.
