Road closure on Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway before storm No. 13 makes landfall

In response to storm No. 13 approaching the mainland of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai, the Traffic Police Department announced a temporary road closure on the expressway.

On the afternoon of November 6, to proactively respond to storm No. 13, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), the Ministry of Public Security announced a temporary road closure on the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, from Km64 (Tam Ky intersection) to Km131+500 (Quang Ngai intersection), starting from 6:30 p.m. on November 6 until further notice.

According to the forecast, storm No. 13 is expected to make landfall in Quang Ngai and Gia Lai at 7:00 p.m. on November 6, with strong winds of level 10-13, gusting to level 15-16, causing heavy to very heavy rain over a wide area.

Bad weather and strong gusts of wind can cause trees, billboards and signs on the expressway to fall, especially in night conditions, heavy rain, limited visibility, and potential serious traffic safety risks.

The Traffic Police Department recommends that people, drivers and vehicles proactively monitor weather information, adjust travel routes appropriately, do not stop, park or take shelter on the expressway to avoid the risk of insecurity, while finding a safe shelter and following the instructions of the authorities.

In case of emergency or need for support, people and drivers should immediately contact the hotline of the Traffic Police Department via phone number: 1900.8099 for timely guidance and assistance.

The Traffic Police Department also recommends that everyone raise awareness of complying with regulations, coordinate with functional forces in ensuring traffic order and safety, contributing to maintaining the safety of people's lives and property during the complicated developments of storm No. 13.
