On the afternoon of February 28, Long An Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Ministry of Public Security on the dissolution of 15 police stations of districts, towns and cities in the province (except for police stations). The above decisions take effect from March 1, 2025.

At the ceremony, the Department of Organization and Personnel of Long An Provincial Police announced the Decision of the Provincial Police Director on the transfer of 67 officers to hold leadership positions of Heads of Departments and Deputy Heads of Departments under the Provincial Police; transfer of 37 officers to hold the position of Police Chiefs in communes, wards and towns.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial police leaders, Colonel Lam Minh Hong - Director of Long An Provincial Police - acknowledged and highly appreciated the important and great contributions of generations of district-level police forces to the cause of ensuring security and order. At the same time, they commended the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the leaders, commanders, officers and soldiers of the police of units and localities in the process of implementing the reorganization of the organization and apparatus, and congratulated all officers who were transferred and assigned new tasks in this period.
Also at the ceremony, Colonel Lam Minh Hong requested the police of units and localities to quickly stabilize the organization, assign tasks, and ensure effective operations from March 1, 2025. The leaders of the units need to proactively coordinate and effectively implement key tasks, in order to soon put the new organizational model into effective and efficient operation, without interruption of work, ensuring security and order in the province.
