On February 24, the Department of Transport of Long An province officially announced the suspension of conducting driving tests and stopping receiving applications for issuing, exchanging and reissuing driving licenses.
Accordingly, from March 1, 2025, the Department of Transport of Long An province will stop receiving applications for issuing, exchanging, and reissuing driving licenses (including receipt directly at the Long An Provincial Public Administration Service Center and online on the National Public Service Portal). To avoid backlog of documents and ensure the rights of people, from February 25, 2025 to February 28, 2025, the Department of Transport of Long An province will only accept documents for issuance, renewal and re-issuance of car driving licenses with validity until March 15, 2025.
From February 24, 2025, the Department of Transport of Long An province will also stop organizing driving license examinations (including reissuance and reissuance of expired driving licenses).
To avoid crowding at the Provincial Public Administration Service Center, causing waste of time and affecting security and order, the Department of Transport of Long An province encourages people with valid driving licenses to continue to use them, not to change their driving licenses when the validity period is still long; only prioritize the choice of handling administrative procedures for changing driving licenses when the driving license is about to expire.
For administrative procedures that have been received by the Department of Transport of Long An province but have not yet returned the results, they will be handed over to the Public Security sector for further implementation.
During the implementation process, in case of difficulties and problems, people can directly contact the Department of Transport of Long An province (through the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management) for timely guidance and resolution.
