The bulletin of the Central Central Hydrometeorological Station announces emergency flood information (especially large) on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river system and flood information on the Tam Ky river.
From early morning on October 28, the water level on the rivers in Da Nang peaked and receded slowly. However, in the early afternoon of October 28, the upstream water level of Vu Gia - Thu Bon river is rising again, the downstream fluctuates at a high level above alert level 3. On the Han River, the water level continues to rise; the Tam Ky River is fluctuating above alert level 2.
At 1:00 p.m. on October 28, the water level recorded at the stations: Vu Gia (Hoi Duong) 16.99m, Ai Nghia 9.85m; Thu Bon (Nong Son) 16.22m, Giao Thuy 9.29m, Cau Lau 5.26m, Hoi An 3.09m; Han (Cam Le) 2.46m; Tam Ky 2.45m.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, floods on Vu Gia and Thu Bon rivers will continue to rise again. The flood peak on the Vu Gia River is likely to be 1.0 to 1.5m higher than alert level 3; on the Thu Bon River, the flood peak exceeds the historical level by 0.1 to 0.4m. The Han River will exceed alert level by about 0.2m, while the Tam Ky River will rise to approximately alert level 3.
Deep and widespread flooding will continue in low-lying areas and residential areas along the river. Many localities such as Nong Son, Duy Xuyen, Dai Loc, Dien Ban, Hoi An, Hoa Tien, Cam Le... may be isolated. The risk of flash floods and landslides is very high in the mountainous areas of Da Nang city.

The Hydrometeorological Station warns of the risk of natural disasters due to floods at level 3. Floods and inundation can damage riverside structures, affect aquaculture, the environment, people's lives and socio-economic activities.
The specialized agency recommends that people proactively evacuate to safe places, not to go through deep flooded areas, rivers, streams, and overflowing culverts; local authorities need to be on duty 24/7 to check reservoirs and deploy forces to support vulnerable areas.
