On the morning of August 28, information from the People's Committee of Nhon Mai commune said that the sudden flood on the night of August 27 forced many households to urgently relocate their assets to ensure safety. In Huu Khuong commune, heavy rain caused some households in Xan village to fall into a similar situation.
According to people in Xop Kha village (Yen Hoa commune), water from upstream flowed tightly at night, causing people to worry and feel insecure.
Mr. Dau Duc Truyen, Chairman of Yen Hoa Commune People's Committee, said: "During the flood at the end of July, people suffered very heavy losses. Now that the flood has overlapped, life has become extremely difficult and hard.
It is known that the flood at the end of July 2025 caused serious damage in the mountainous communes of the West of Nghe An: 4 deaths, 3 injuries, thousands of houses were washed away and damaged. Traffic, healthcare, and education systems were destroyed, with total damage reaching more than VND3,800 billion.
