Completed in November
Talking to Lao Dong - Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - a cadastral officer of Thanh Liet commune (Thanh Tri district, Hanoi) - said that after receiving information reflecting the situation of agricultural land located on Pham Tu street (Thanh Liet commune) being "carved up" to make a series of illegal pickleball courts, Thanh Tri district People's Committee directed Thanh Liet commune People's Committee to thoroughly handle the above reflections this November.
"Currently, the Commune People's Committee is developing procedures to enforce the enforcement of illegal constructions on agricultural land and project land to ensure completion on schedule, as directed by the district in November," said Mr. Dung.
According to the Thanh Liet Commune Land Officer, the Thanh Liet Commune People's Committee has issued notices requesting the violating units to proactively dismantle the series of pickleball court constructions on the violating land. If any unit deliberately delays in implementing, the local authorities will carry out enforcement according to the provisions of the law.
Also in this round of handling, the People's Committee of Thanh Liet Commune will handle other pickleball courts that violate the law in the area. Notably, at the agricultural land lot No. 289 Pham Tu Street (Thanh Liet Commune), the pickleball court complex called "Thanh Liet Pickleball Club" has been formed with a scale of 6 courts and will also be handled and enforced in this round.
According to records at the agricultural land on Pham Tu Street, the illegally built pickleball court system is being actively dismantled by the violating unit. The roof system, net and steel frame have been removed from the encroached land by a crane.
Forced to restore the land to its original state before the violation
According to Lao Dong Newspaper, on November 11, Thanh Liet Commune People's Committee issued Decision No. 290/QD-CCXP on enforcement, forcing the implementation of remedial measures and handling of administrative violations in the field of land against Mr. Pham Tu Hai (residing in Ung Hoa, Hanoi).
Thanh Liet Commune People's Committee requests and forces the restoration of the original condition of the land before the violation. All costs of organizing the implementation of remedial measures shall be paid by the violator.
Thanh Liet Commune People's Committee also assigned the Commune Police, Urban Construction Order Management Team, land officers, judicial officers and relevant professional departments of the commune to coordinate in handling the case.
Also related to this issue, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Tri district said that regarding the content that the press reflected regarding the situation of building pickleball courts on agricultural land, on November 8, the People's Committee of Thanh Tri district held a meeting and assigned relevant units to inspect and establish a file to completely handle cases of pickleball court violations in November and assigned the District People's Committee Office to synthesize and respond to the press.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, before the fever of pickleball, many investors did not spare money to hunt and find land (mainly suspended project land, rice fields, agricultural land near urban areas) to level the ground and illegally build pickleball courts. This situation is common in two areas of Thanh Liet commune and Tan Trieu commune (Thanh Tri district).
