Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung signed Decision No. 1061/QD-TTg on expanding and promulgating the Operating Regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (HCMC).
The decision clearly states the expansion of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, in which the expanded area has an area of 194.84ha belonging to Long Phuoc ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The expanded area of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park is part of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, performing the task of scientific research and development of high technology, strategic technology, trial production of high-tech products, strategic technology products formed from research and development results carried out in Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park; supporting the incubation, training, transfer and commercialization of high technology, strategic technology and other tasks and functions of the High-Tech Park according to the provisions of law on high technology.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is responsible for presiding over the direction, organization and implementation, ensuring balanced allocation of resources (capital, human resources) to implement tasks on investment, construction and development, state management activities, support policies and other tasks for the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park after expansion in accordance with the approved objectives and tasks; and is responsible to the Government for the activities and investment efficiency of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park after expansion.
Deploy the preparation, appraisal and approval of zoning planning, detailed planning and determination of boundaries and locations of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park expansion area to ensure consistency with the location and scale of area that have been regulated.
This Regulation regulates investment, construction and development activities; state management activities at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, including the expanded area of the High-Tech Park and the area of the High-Tech Park that has been implemented, established in Decision No. 145/2002/QD-TTg dated October 24, 2002 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the High-Tech Park directly under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
