At noon on April 25, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a leader of the People's Committee of Quang Yen Commune (Thanh Ba District, Phu Tho) said that D.N.K (born in 2009, residing in Quang Yen Commune) - one of the victims of the fire and explosion in Ha Loc Commune, Phu Tho Town on the evening of April 23 - had died.
"Although he was given emergency care, K did not survive this morning. Currently, the family is organizing after-school activities for the child" - the leader of the People's Committee of Quang Yen commune shared.
As reported by Lao Dong, at around 9:45 p.m. on April 23, a fire broke out at the house of Mr. Do Van Vinh (born in 1972) in Zone 6, Ha Loc Commune, Phu Tho Town, injuring 2 people.
The 2-storey house that caught fire and exploded was rented by Mr. Vinh to Mr. Duong Xuan Anh (born in 1991, residing in Zone 7, Phu Ho Commune, Phu Tho Town) from April 6, 2025.
As a result, N.H.A.Q (born in 2009, residing in Zone 4, Dai An Commune, Thanh Ba District) and D.N.K (born in 2009, residing in Quang Yen Commune, Thanh Ba District) suffered severe burns and were taken to the hospital for emergency care.
