According to a quick report from Vinasarcom Hue City, from 7:00 p.m. on June 10 to 4:00 p.m. on June 12, Hue City recorded a common rainfall of 400-550mm.
Some places have had particularly heavy rain such as Bach Ma peak 1,014mm, Khe Tre 663mm, Giang Hai 590mm.
The peak rainfall occurred from 5am to 7am on June 11, in which at Quan Tuong Dai station (Phu Xuan district), the rainfall reached a record of 96mm/hour; some stations in Thuan Hoa district recorded 70mm/hour.
It is forecasted that from June 12 to 13, Hue will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain, with total rainfall of 70-150mm, some places over 200mm. The rain will be concentrated during the day and night of June 12.
In the face of heavy rain, the authorities have warned of a high risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas, along small rivers and streams in A Luoi, Phu Loc districts, Huong Tra town, Phong Dien; and the risk of coastal landslides.
In particular, local heavy rain in a short period of time (over 100mm/3 hours) can cause urban flooding in Thuan Hoa and Phu Xuan districts, as well as many areas in Phong Dien, Huong Tra and Huong Thuy towns.
Currently, the water level of rivers is below alert level 1. At 4:00 p.m. on June 12, the Huong River at Kim Long reached 1.13 m (0.13 m higher than BD1); the Bo River at Phu Oc reached 1.79 m (0.29 m higher than BD1).
