Heavy rain causes trees and light poles to fall on National Highway 20

Lam Dong - Heavy rain accompanied by strong gusts of wind caused a tree and a light pole to fall across National Highway 20, causing local traffic congestion.

On the afternoon of June 12, the leader of the People's Committee of Ha Lam commune (Da Huoai district, Lam Dong) said that at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, there was heavy rain with strong gusts of wind in the commune.

Heavy rain caused a tree about 20 meters high to be uprooted and a lighting pole to fall across National Highway 20.

Fortunately, when the trees and light poles fell, there were no people participating in traffic.

The incident caused traffic congestion on National Highway 20.

After the incident, the People's Committee of Ha Lam commune mobilized police forces and militia of the commune to be present to clear the scene.

The forces used a sawing machine to remove fallen green branches; at the same time, used a crane to clear the scene for vehicles to travel in one direction, reducing congestion.

About 30 minutes later, the scene was basically cleared, traffic on National Highway 20, the section passing through Ha Lam commune returned to normal.

According to the leader of Ha Lam Commune People's Committee, local people are starting to enter the durian harvest season.

After heavy rain with strong gusts of wind, the locality has proactively inspected, and fortunately, up to now, it has not recorded durian falling or falling.
