The Km205+092 rest stop, invested by TTC Chau Thanh Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, is put into operation to meet the needs of rest and health recovery for drivers and passengers on long journeys, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and improving the operational efficiency of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
The organization of exploitation of rest stops is carried out according to the traffic management plan approved by the Vietnam Road Administration in Official Dispatch No. 01/CD-CDBVN dated January 17, 2026.
Vehicles entering and leaving the station are scientifically organized, ensuring safety and convenience, and not affecting the flow of vehicles circulating on the main route.
At the Km205+092 rest stop, essential public service items have been invested and arranged synchronously, meeting the basic rest stop and living needs of traffic participants. The commissioning of the station contributes to reducing the risk of traffic accidents due to fatigue and stress for vehicle operators when traveling on the expressway.
Speaking at the ceremony to put the Km205+092 rest stop into operation, Mr. Huynh Tuan Em, Director of TTC Chau Thanh Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, said that the enterprise determines that investing and operating the rest stop is not only a business task but also a social responsibility.
According to Mr. Huynh Tuan Em, the company is committed to closely coordinating with state management agencies in traffic organization, ensuring security and order, traffic safety, and constantly improving service quality, serving the best rest needs of people on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
During operation, the investor will coordinate with the Vietnam Road Administration, Project Management Board 7, Traffic Police Department, Road Management Zone IV and local authorities to ensure traffic organization, traffic safety and social order in the rest stop area.
The official operation of Km205+092 rest stop is an important step in the service infrastructure system on the North-South expressway in the East, contributing to improving the service quality for traffic participants, and gradually completing the network of rest stops on expressways according to the synchronous and modern development orientation of the road industry.
In the context of increasing traffic volume on the North-South Expressway in the East, especially during peak holidays and Tet, putting the rest stop into operation at the right time is practically meaningful, meeting practical needs, and better serving people and transport businesses.
The Vietnam Road Administration also said that previously, the Vietnam Road Administration issued Official Dispatch No. 01 on accelerating the progress of investment and business projects for rest stops on the North-South Expressway in the East.
The official dispatch stated: Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Construction on accelerating the construction progress and completion of rest stops on the North-South Expressway in the East, in the past time, the Department has issued many documents urging and directing investors to drastically implement and accelerate the progress to complete rest stops according to the contract schedule; however, in general, the progress of rest stops is still slow and does not meet requirements.
Besides objective reasons such as site clearance problems, slow licensing procedures, unusual weather in the past time, there are subjective reasons of some investors in organizing implementation leading to slow construction progress; investors must be responsible for subjective causes and damages arising if any according to contracts and legal regulations.
To complete the rest stops on schedule under the contract and the requirements of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Construction, the Department requests:
Investors thoroughly implement the directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Construction and the Vietnam Road Administration, seriously rectify the organization of implementation; urgently supplement sufficient manpower, materials, and equipment, strengthen construction teams to organize synchronous construction of items, and at the same time increase shifts and crews to accelerate progress; focus on completing access roads to stations, parking areas, and toilets to put into operation essential public service works before January 31, 2026, and complete all rest stops according to the contract schedule.
Project Management Boards closely monitor the site, fully implement the assigned responsibilities according to Decision No. 248/QD-BXD dated March 10, 2025, Official Dispatch No. 02/CD-BXD dated March 14, 2025 of the Minister of Construction; focusing on urging and inspecting construction progress; managing and supervising investors to fulfill their obligations and responsibilities according to legal regulations and contracts; and at the same time supporting investors to promptly handle difficulties and obstacles at the site.
