The Inspectorate of the Department of Transport of Can Tho has just concluded an inspection on compliance with legal regulations on training and testing of car drivers at the Chien Thang Vocational Training and Testing Center for Drivers (Cai Rang District, Can Tho City).
According to the inspection conclusion, Chien Thang Vocational Training and Driving Testing Center has organized basic driving training according to regulations in decrees, circulars and related units.
The inspection conclusion also pointed out the limitations of this Center. Accordingly, the Center was slow in carrying out the procedure to reissue the Driving Training License with the correct name of the Center according to the direction of the Director of the Department of Transport on urgently carrying out the procedure to change the name of the training facility.
The Center has archived exam records as prescribed. However, the Center was hacked, so at the time of inspection and verification, it only archived data from exams from February 19, 2024 to present; the exam from January 16, 2024 and the exams in 2023 were not archived due to the hack.
The Center promptly reported the incident to the Department of Vehicle and Driver Management under the Department of Transport of Can Tho City for coordination and confirmation from the Department of Transport.
The Inspector of the Department of Transport recommends that the Director of the Department consider directing the Chien Thang Vocational Education Center for Driver Training and Testing to urgently carry out the procedure for reissuing the Driver Training License with the correct name of the Center according to the direction of the Director of the Department of Transport; continue to archive the test records according to regulations...
According to the leader of the Department of Vehicle and Driver Management (Can Tho City Department of Transport), after receiving the report from the Center, the unit contacted the IT department of the Road Administration for instructions on how to handle the situation. Afterwards, the unit's specialists restored the lost data, without interrupting the training and testing activities at the Center.
