On the afternoon of September 26, Mr. Tran Dinh Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of lia commune (Quang Tri province) said that due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, many areas in the area have been partially isolated.
At Up Ly Bridge, the stream water rose high and flowed rapidly, making it impossible for people and vehicles to travel. Notably, at Km10, Provincial Road 586, where a strong stream overpass is under construction, a section of the culvert on the temporary road has been washed away, forcing people to switch to the old, muddy and slippery route.
According to the commune leader, if the rain continues, this route is also at risk of being deeply flooded.

The authorities of lia commune have requested the construction unit to urgently temporarily repair the problem to ensure traffic for the people. At the same time, in A Doi commune, some overflow points were also flooded, causing many ethnic minority villages to be isolated.
Currently, localities have deployed forces to be on duty in areas with deep flooding and strong water flows, determined not to allow people and vehicles to pass to ensure safety.
