Mr. Le Duc Hiep (45 years old, residing in Dai Dong village, Co Dam commune, Ha Tinh province) said that the wind started to get stronger from around 8am this morning.

According to the report of the Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Ha Tinh province, on the morning of August 25, the Ha Tinh sea area had winds gradually increasing to level 7 - 9, then increasing to level 10 - 11, the area near the storm's eye passed level 12 - 14, gusts of level 17, waves 5.0 - 7.0m high, the area near the eye 8.0 - 10.0m, the sea was very rough.

Storm surge and flood warning in coastal areas: Storm surge is 0.5 - 1.8m high; Water level according to the station markers at Cua Nhuong (Ha Tinh) is 2.2 - 2.6m high. High risk of flooding in low-lying areas, coastal areas, river mouths due to rising water and big waves in the afternoon and evening of August 25

On land, the wind will gradually increase to level 8 - 11, gusting to level 12 - 14. In particular, the North of Ha Tinh area has strong winds of level 12 - 14, gusting to level 15 - 16.

6 reservoirs are overflowing, including: Song Rac Lake with a flow of 20 m3/s; Boc Nguyen Lake with a flow of 10 m3/s; Kim Son Lake with a flow of 05 m3/s; Thuong Song Tri Lake with a flow of 10 m3/s; Tau Voi Lake with a flow of 03 m3/s; Han Da Lake with a flow of 05 m3/s.

As of 06:00 on August 25, localities in Ha Tinh have evacuated people, 5,454 households/14,034 people.
