On the afternoon of June 12, the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong district, Kon Tum province, said it was deploying shock forces to review, evacuate and relocate people in dangerous areas at risk of landslides, flash floods and inundation.
Heavy rain caused landslides and rock and soil to overflow into houses in Dak Ha village, Dak Ha commune. Local authorities have had to evacuate households to safe places to avoid the risk of house collapse, threatening people's lives.

Strong winds also blew off the roofs of many houses in Kon Ling village, Dak Ha commune. When the weather is less windy, the militia and commune officials will coordinate to support people to repair the roofs to have shelter.

In addition, heavy rain in mountainous areas has caused river and stream water levels to rise. National Highway 40B and the inter-commune road in Tu Mo Rong had many fallen trees blocking the road. The shock force organized the clearing, cutting down trees and clearing the road.
Some long-standing bridges in the mountainous district were also damaged by the strong water flow, causing the concrete at the bridge abutment to break...

Currently, localities in Kon Tum are closely monitoring weather developments, proactively evacuating people to safe places when there is a risk of flooding or natural disasters.
