On the afternoon of March 28, a heavy rain lasting more than 2 hours and a tornado completely collapsed the stilt house of Mr. Ho Van Phan and Ms. Ho Thi Da's family (residing in Cu Bai village, Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province).
Immediately after receiving the report, Huong Lap Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) mobilized officers and soldiers to promptly evacuate people and property that night.

On the morning of March 29, the unit continued to send 10 officers to coordinate with local authorities and organizations to support the family in building a temporary house to stabilize their lives.
Huong Lap Border Guard Station also supported the family with 25 kg of rice, blankets, clothes, pairs, notebooks and a sum of money to help overcome initial difficulties.
Mr. Phan's family is in a difficult situation, earning mainly from farming, and has two young children. However, because they have not separated households, they are not eligible for support under the program "Renting temporary and dilapidated houses".
