According to the People's Committee of Muong Bu commune, at about 7:30 am on July 9, heavy rain caused rocks from the positive slope to suddenly roll down the road surface on National Highway 279D, Cao Pha slope section, Muong Bu commune.
Stones fell on a car with license plate 26A-324. XX, causing serious damage to the vehicle. Fortunately, there were no casualties at the time of the incident.

At the same time, on the inter-commune road Yen Chau - Phieng Khoai, a large rock fell onto the road surface, causing no casualties or property damage.
The authorities of the two communes said that prolonged rain for many days caused soil and rocks on the taluy slopes to be waterlogged, posing a risk of landslides.

Localities recommend that people and vehicle drivers when traveling through steep passes and high slopes need to reduce speed, observe carefully and proactively monitor weather information to ensure safety.
