Quang Tri - Prolonged rain, river water rising rapidly and heavy rain forecast until noon on October 29, so Quang Tri has issued a notice, requiring localities to proactively respond to flooding and landslides.

On the afternoon of October 27, the Quang Tri Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a notice to localities, requesting proactive response to heavy rain, flooding and landslides.

Accordingly, from 7:00 p.m. on October 26 to October 27, there was heavy rain concentrated in the South of Quang Tri province.

It is forecasted that from noon on October 27 to noon on October 29, there will continue to be moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain. The Northern region generally has 50150 mm, locally over 200 mm. The Southern region has a common range of 120220 mm, locally over 270 mm. Warning of possible heavy rain over 100 mm in 3 hours and the rain is likely to last.

Currently, the water level of rivers is rising, generally at alert level 1 to alert level 2. O Lau River exceeded alert level 2 and continued to rise, at My Chanh 4.23 m was 0.23 m higher than alert level 2, at Hai Tan 3.02 m was 0.22 m higher than alert level 2.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command requires localities and units to closely monitor forecasts and flood warnings, promptly inform facilities and people, and maintain communication to handle situations. Reviewing residential areas along rivers and streams, low-lying areas, areas at risk of floods, inundation, and landslides; organizing guarding and controlling traffic at overflow basins and areas with deep flooding and fast-flowing water; arranging forces, materials, and means to overcome incidents, ensuring smooth traffic. Proactively let students stay home from school in isolated or unsafe areas.

Mountainous communes in the south of the province are often isolated such as Huong Lap, Huong Phung, Dakrong, La Lay, Khe Sanh, Ba Long, lia, A Doi, Lao Bao, Ta But need to block off and put up warning signs when there is heavy rain.

Low-lying areas and often deeply flooded areas such as Dien Sanh, Nam Hai Lang, Vinh Dinh, My Thuy, Hai Lang and areas at risk of landslides such as Huong Lap, Huong Phung, Khe Sanh, Tuyen Son, Tuyen Phu, Tuyen Lam, Bo Trach proactively plan to evacuate people, protect lives, property and production. Inner-city wards such as Dong Ha, Nam Dong Ha, Quang Tri pay attention to urban flooding.
