On June 22, a quick report from functional agencies, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms occurring from June 20 to 21, caused damage to agricultural production and transport infrastructure in many localities in the province.
The total estimated damage value is about 2 billion VND.
Accordingly, heavy rain has affected Tinh Tuc, Son Lo, Quang Uyen, Dam Thuy, Bao Lac, Yen Tho, Be Van Dan and Quang Lam communes.

Natural disasters damaged more than 3.7ha of crops, of which 0.318ha of rice was silted up and eroded; 3.404ha of crops were fallen and broken, and 0.1ha of medicinal plants were damaged.
In addition, 2 buffaloes in Be Van Dan commune were killed by lightning, 0.091ha of agricultural land in Yen Tho commune was eroded.
Heavy rain also damaged 7 traffic routes, including 1 provincial road and 6 rural traffic routes. Many locations in Tinh Tuc, Quang Lam, Son Lo, Bao Lac and Dam Thuy communes have experienced landslides, road surface erosion and damaged embankments.
In addition, an irrigation project in Yen Tho commune was landslide 27m of canals and ditches.
Lung Phjac hamlet cultural house, Dam Thuy commune was damaged with a corrugated iron roof due to fallen trees. Notably, in Xuan Loi hamlet, Quang Uyen commune, a sinkhole appeared on a tobacco growing area with a diameter of about 1.3m and a depth of 4m.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities and Civil Defense Commands at all levels urgently inspected, statistically assessed damage, and organized the clearing of landslide soil and rocks to ensure smooth traffic.
Dangerous areas are zoned, warning signs are placed, and functional forces continue to closely monitor weather developments to proactively deploy response measures, minimizing damage caused by rain and floods.
