Floods cause heavy damage to crops and livestock of people in Dak Lak

Dak Lak - During the 3 days of flood, the whole province had 912 hectares of crops affected, 38 livestock died.

On September 10, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dak Lak province informed that due to the impact of storm No. 7, from September 5 to 7, there was heavy rain in the area causing local flooding in some localities. The total estimated damage is more than 9.8 billion VND.

Specifically, some houses in Ea Kao ward, Thanh Nhat ward, Ea Bung commune, Ea Rook commune, Ia Ru,... were flooded. However, only temporary flooding has returned people to normal life.

However, the whole province had 912 hectares of crops affected, 38 livestock died.

In addition, many other traffic works, irrigation works and infrastructure were damaged and landslides.

Specifically, in Tay Son commune, some sections of provincial road DT646 and many inter-village and intra-field roads were buried and eroded by rocks and soil.

Some irrigation works such as Gia Tru dam, Da Ban dam, Tra Ke lake were sunk, buried and about 120 m of canals were damaged. In addition, the fence of Phuoc Tan Public Kindergarten and the Da Ban - Gia Tru self- movements were also severely damaged...

Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, authorities at all levels quickly directed the recovery work and mobilized forces to support the people.

Up to now, the water has receded in flooded areas, traffic is basically smooth, and people have returned to normal life. Localities are continuing to overcome the consequences and specifically assess and count the extent of damage.
