According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:15 am on February 15, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir had an upstream water level of 113.98 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 99 m3/s and has not yet been discharged.
On the Da River cascade, Son La Hydropower reservoir reached an elevation of 214.57 m (normal water level of 215 m), water inflow 403 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 959 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Hydropower Reservoir is at 112.27 m, 117 m lower than the normal water level, inflow to the reservoir 923 m3/s, total discharge volume 366 m3/s.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs have water inflows ranging from 11 to nearly 300 m3/s; of which Huoi Quang reached 369.88 m, approaching the normal water level of 370 m.
In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir reached 158.36 m (close to the normal water level of 160 m), discharging 77 m3/s, equal to the water flow to the reservoir.
Ban Ve Lake is at 195.9 m, 200 m lower than the normal water level and has not been discharged.
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, many reservoirs are operating for power generation with significant flow rates such as Song Tranh 2 discharging 100 m3/s, Song Ba Ha discharging 127 m3/s, Ialy 368 m3/s, Se San 3A 519 m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 61.74 m, close to the normal water level of 62 m, water inflow of 120 m3/s and has not been discharged.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for February 15th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and early morning, cold in mountainous areas.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day.
