Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on February 21st

The water level of many hydropower reservoirs across the country fluctuates around the normal water level, some reservoirs are operating for power generation with medium discharge flow.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:30 am on February 21, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake had an upstream water level of 114.58 m, lower than the normal water level by 120 m; inflow to the lake 50 m3/s, no discharge occurred.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake reached 294.95 m, approximately the normal water level of 295 m.

Ban Chat Lake is at 456.17 m; Huoi Quang 369.87 m; Son La Lake 214.58 m, near the normal water level of 215 m, is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 355 m3/s.

Hoa Binh Lake reached 112.85 m, lower than the normal water level by 117 m, total discharge through the plant was 361 m3/s.

In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir has a water level of 158.99 m (normal water level of 160 m), the inflow and discharge volume is equivalent to 76 m3/s.

Ban Ve Lake reached 195.52 m; Khe Bo 64.44 m and is generating electricity with a flow rate of 95.5 m3/s; Quang Tri Lake 477.04 m.

In the South Central Coast region, A Vuong reservoir reached 375.89 m, currently discharging 58.3 m3/s of electricity.

The reservoirs of Song Bung 2, Song Bung 4, Song Tranh 2, Song Ba Ha and Song Hinh have water levels ranging from 104–601 m, mostly below the normal water level but still ensure power generation operation.

In the Central Highlands, Thuong Kon Tum reservoir reached 1.159.82 m, close to the normal water level of 1.160 m. Pleikrông reservoir 569.78 m. Ialy reservoir reached 510.05 m, currently discharging 9 m3/s of electricity.

Se San, Srepok, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4, Dai Ninh, Ham Thuan, Da Mi... reservoirs are basically lower than the normal water level.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir reached 61.63 m, 62 m lower than the normal water level, and has not yet generated discharge.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for February 21st, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and in the morning.

The Southern region is sunny during the day, especially the East has hot sunny places.
