According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 16:00 on February 20, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake was at an altitude of 114.48 m, lower than the normal water level by 5.52 m, with a flow to the lake of 50 m3/s, and has not yet been discharged.
In the Northwest, large reservoirs on the Da River maintain high water levels. Lai Chau Lake reached 294.68 m, approaching the normal water level of 295 m; Son La at 214.63 m, 0.37 m lower than the normal water level.
Hoa Binh Lake is at an altitude of 112.71 m, 4.29 m lower than the normal water level, the inflow to the lake is 442 m3/s and is generating electricity with a total discharge flow of 435 m3/s through the plant.
Ho Huoi Quang reached 370.04 m, approximately the normal water level; Ban Chat was at 456.58 m, 18.42 m lower than the normal water level.
In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir is at 158.86 m, 1.14 m lower than the normal water level, with a total discharge flow of 77 m3/s through power generation.
Ban Ve Lake reached 195.59 m, still 4.41 m away from the normal water level. Khe Bo Lake is at 64.34 m, the inflow to the lake and discharge through the plant are both at 95.5 m3/s. Quang Tri Lake reached 477.02 m, 2.98 m lower than the normal water level.
In the South Central Coast region, most reservoirs have water levels a few meters lower than normal water levels such as A Vuong 376.07 m; Song Bung 4 reaching 221.38 m; Song Tranh 2 at 173.66 m; Song Ba Ha reaching 104.66 m.
Some reservoirs have low flow rates such as Song Bung 2 (3.74 m3/s), Vinh Son A (0.36 m3/s), Vinh Son B (1.23 m3/s) and Vinh Son C (0.56 m3/s). Song Hinh Lake currently has no flow to the reservoir.
In the Central Highlands, many lakes are accumulating water near the normal level such as Thuong Kon Tum 1. 159.87 m; Pleikrông 569.81 m; Ialy 510.19 m.
Some reservoirs discharge through spillways or deep discharge gates with small flow rates such as Srepok 3 discharging 0.86 m3/s, Buon Kuop discharging 10.95 m3/s. An Khe Lake discharges 8 m3/s through spillways.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir is at 61.65 m, 0.35 m lower than the normal water level, the inflow to the reservoir reaches 90 m3/s and has not been recorded for discharge.
