Many hydropower reservoirs are still below the normal water level, and some reservoirs continue to discharge electricity with large flows.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:00 AM on April 24, in the Northern region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded a water level of 111.21m, nearly 9m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the lake reached 133m3/s and discharged 127.97m3/s through the plant.

Lai Chau, Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Son La reservoirs all maintain water levels below the normal level, of which Son La reservoir has the same inflow and discharge rate of 345m3/s.

Notably, Hoa Binh Lake is discharging electricity at a high level with a total flow rate of 1,813m3/s, while the lake water level is at an elevation of 110.24m, lower than the normal water level by 6.76m. Thac Ba Lake also maintains discharge of 444.69m3/s to serve system operation.

In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir has a flow rate of 114m3/s, discharging 86m3/s; Khe Bo reservoir discharges 95.5m3/s. Ban Ve and Quang Tri reservoirs have low water flow rates.

The South Central Coast region continues to record water levels in reservoirs lower than normal water levels.

Some lakes have electricity generation and regulation such as Vinh Son A discharging 9.43m³/s, Ba Ha River discharging 120m³/s, Song Hinh discharging 53.28m³/s.

In the Central Highlands, many reservoirs maintain power generation with significant discharge flow: Pleikrông discharges 116m3/s, Ialy discharges 147m3/s, Sê San 3 discharges 228m3/s, Hàm Thuận discharges 107.31m3/s and Đa Mi discharges 118.94m3/s. An Khê reservoir appeared discharging overflow 8m3/s out of a total discharge flow of 50m3/s.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water flow of 130m3/s, and has not yet implemented regulating discharge.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 24, the Northern region will only have light rain in some places. Cool weather with the lowest common temperature of 20 - 24 degrees C.

The North Central region has rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.

The Central Highlands and Southern regions are sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places.
