According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 13:00 on April 21, on the Da River and Hoa Binh Lake system, the upstream water level was 111.08m, the water flow to the lake was 551 m3/s and the total discharge through power generation was 1,089 m3/s.
Son La Lake reached a water level of 207.93m, flow rate 92 m3/s, discharge and generate electricity 135 m3/s.
Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 290.39m, a flow rate of 106 m3/s but has not yet been discharged.
Other terraced lakes recorded low water flow. Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 111.73m, discharging electricity 126.81 m3/s. Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 51.88m, total discharge volume 291.35 m3/s through the plant.
Meanwhile, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs have low flow to the reservoirs and have not yet been discharged.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 21, the Northern region will have sunshine with reduced clouds; especially the Northwest region will have hot sun in some places.
The area from Nghe An to Hue will be sunny during the day, especially the mountainous areas will be hot, with intense heat in some places.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions are sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places.
