According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on April 22, in the Northern region, reservoirs on the Da River system continued to generate electricity to meet load demand.
Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 111.64m, 8.36m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake is 50 m3/s, total discharge through the plant is 126.81 m3/s.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake is at 290.61m; Ban Chat Lake is 431.89m; Huoi Quang Lake is 369.96m (close to the normal water level).
Son La Lake reached 207.69m, generating electricity at 732 m3/s; Hoa Binh Lake 110.71m, generating electricity at 1.479 m3/s; Thac Ba Lake 51.77m, generating electricity at 206.64 m3/s. Reservoirs have not generated overflow discharge.
In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir reached 154.11m, generating 86 m3/s; Ban Ve reservoir 186.58m; Khe Bo reservoir 64.36m, generating 95.5 m3/s; Quang Tri reservoir 472.22m, low flow to the reservoir.
In the South Central region, A Vuong reservoir is at 369.19m, generating electricity at 35.6 m3/s; Song Bung 2 reservoir reaches 596.47m; Vinh Son A 770.59m; Song Bung 4 reaches 216.49m, generating electricity at 50 m3/s; Song Tranh 2 is at 169.35m.
Song Ba Ha reservoir reached 103.51m, generating electricity 120 m3/s; Song Hinh reservoir reached 206.43m, generating electricity 19.03 m3/s.
In the Central Highlands, Thuong Kon Tum reservoir reached 1.152.63m; Pleiku 561.24m, generating 110 m3/s; Ialy 502.75m; Se San 3A 238.83m, generating 196 m3/s; Se San 4 reached 213.51m, generating 187 m3/s.
Some reservoirs opened discharge gates with small flow rates such as Srepok 3 (268.5m) discharging 0.8 m3/s; Buon Kuop (410.25m) discharging 15.24 m3/s; An Khe (428.21m) discharging 8 m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir reached 58.77m, the water flow to the reservoir was 80 m3/s, and no discharge occurred.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 22, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny skies in the afternoon with the highest common temperature of 30 - 33 degrees C; especially the Northwest region will have hot sunshine above 36 degrees C.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city has hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36 - 38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions are sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places.
